LDN - Alternative treatment for chronic pain and autoimmune disease
Updated: Oct 28, 2019
Low dose naltrexone (LDN) is a medicine that can be compounded to treat a variety of medical conditions including chronic pain, multiple sclerosis, other autoimmune diseases, and autism. It may be a safer alternative to opioids for some patients, and a game-changer for quality of life in patients who haven't responded to first line treatments. LDN is not FDA approved, so must be prescribed off-label by a provider. However, since a pharmaceutical company does not hold a patent for LDN, we can compound it at an affordable price.
